Medically Stage 3B means the breast cancer has extended to beyond the immediate region of the tumor and have invaded nearby lymph nodes and muscles to reach to the advance level.
Diagnosed at later stage her mother Seema Chaturvedi was at complete loss at first. Seeing her condition the first thing Parul could do was search in internet and other available material to understand about the cancer stages and how to cope with patient. Being the only child she realized quickly that she has to be the support system to her family and this decision helped her mother to came back to life and fight the deadly disease.
Seema Chaturvedi says that it was two years of continuous painful medications, chemotherapy and injections which not only made her physically disfigure due to hair loss and loss of appetite but also took at heavy toll mentally. During these years it was her motherhood which provided strength to her and she decided to not to give up. Recalling those days she says her husband was equally cooperative but her child education was also on stake as hospital treatments also effected her. She saw that her small daughter was changed and was brimming with full confidence to support her family .By the time her tenth results came she passed out with good percentage. Parul is now 21 year old and a student of BE. Seema says the struggle with the dreaded disease also changed their life course as the family also decided to come up with cancer welfare society later which works on raising awareness campaigns. She says that deducting cancer at early stages not only ensures better cure but also reduces the trauma the patient has to undergo and all need not be as lucky as her.
